Message-ID: <615E7385-FB3C-4A82-BF3D-C6068795167B@piratecomedyshow.com> It has been over a year since we last posted an update to this list, so here is a quick one... Nothing new to report at the Pirate Comedy Show. The old CD is selling better than it ever has via iTunes and CD Baby, but we still have plans to eventually bring out the sequel album. Many songs that were planned for the first one will finally appear on the new one. If and when it comes out. Much has changed online since the Pirate Comedy Show first took the stage in 2003. For instance, YouTube.com now exists, and you can find various video clips of us there. For some reason, I've never bothered to mention this here, or link them from the website. So, here's a few old Pirate Comedy Show clips (no stage shows, just some old stuff from a promotional DVD we put together five years ago). http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=A1B20A8795E1BA77 Speaking of five years, this is our fifth season doing the same old show. That's alot of milage from something that was supposed to only have been done once. We haven't contacted events to book new shows in the past few years, though we still managed to show up and perform a few times per season at the request of various local festivals. It's been alot of fun so far. The Pirate Comedy Show podcast also returned brielfy this year, but hasn't posted a new episode in a month due to busy schedules. We have four episodes recorded that just need to be edited and mixed, so at least we're ahead of the game there. You can learn more about the podcast at the website. As to performances... Will we ever have a new show? I don't know. We planned to write a new one after the 2nd pirates movie came out, and now would like to do something based on the 3rd, but there's just no time. I've been busy as editor of the Regional Renaissance Reporter magazine, and also doing tons of video work -- video journals of festivals (including a 40-part series on the building of the Des Moines Ren Faire), TV commercials for events, etc. And that daily "real job" stuff. So we'll see. Happy 2007 everyone! -- JP
